Lady Wildcats Franklin County lost two games last week, both of which were against conference opponents. Lawrenceburg defeated the Lady Wildcats on Tuesday, Jan. 17, by a score of 44-32. The key to victory for the Lady Tigers was scoring 18 points off turnovers by Franklin County. Cara Maples led the team in both points and rebounds with 12 and eight, respectively. Carly Bentz scored double-digits as well with 11 points. The second game of the week was much closer but had the same result, as East Central needed an overtime period to put down Franklin County, 39-34. The game was tied at the end of regulation 30-30, but the Lady Wildcats came up just short, unable to hit shots with time running out. Franklin County struggled early, especially in the second quarter when the team failed to record a point and trailed East Central 17-8 at halftime. Maples led the team in points and rebounds for the second straight game with nine and nine. Megan Hensley added eight points and nine rebounds of her own. Even with the two losses, the Lady Wildcats\' season record stood at 10-6. The next game was on Tuesday, Jan. 24, at home against South Dearborn.
